General system care<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Keep your eBike system clean and dry.<\/p>

Never wash any of the components of your eBike with a pressure washer or high-pressure washer, as water getting into any of the components can lead to malfunctions or rust, or to safety problems such as fire or explosion. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents for cleaning. If you need to remove mud or other elements, do not use sharp or metallic objects that may damage the surface.<\/p>

Store your eBike system in a cool, dry, temperature-controlled place.<\/p>

The standard environmental conditions of the system are:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Charging temperature: from 0\u00baC to 45\u00baC.<\/li>
  • Discharge temperature: -20\u00baC to 60\u00baC<\/li>

    To ensure the correct charge level, you can check the length of the LED line on the Control Unit<\/strong>, or connect the Pulsar ONE display<\/strong> or phone app to the bike.<\/p>

    Energy consumption can increase considerably during winter use, especially when the temperature drops below 0 \u00b0C. Therefore, fully charge the eBike and the external battery packs before any winter use and remember that the range of your eBike may be reduced.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Before cleaning, make sure that the wheel is in the correct position and the connector is fully connected. After cleaning, check that the motor and connector are dry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Battery care<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe batteries in MAHLE systems use high-quality energy storage cells. A number of guidelines need to be observed when using batteries in order to extend the service life of the batteries. These guidelines relate to the environmental conditions in which the battery operates, the way the MAHLE system is used, the storage, etc.

    \n\n\nWhile standard temperature and humidity ranges and recommended charge levels are set out in other sections depending on the situation, more restrictive criteria and recommended guidelines for extending the life of the various batteries in the system are set out below.\n

    \n \n\nIn general<\/strong>\n
      \n \t
    • It is recommended to work in the range of 20 to 80% of the battery capacity, as full charges\/discharges can shorten battery life.<\/li>\n \t
    • The optimum relative humidity of the environment shall be 65% \u00b1 20%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n \n\n \n\nDuring download (use)<\/strong>\n
        \n \t
      • Optimum temperature range: +20\u00ba to +35\u00baC.<\/li>\n \t
      • Maximum temperature range: -20\u00ba to +60\u00baC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n \n\nDuring charging<\/strong>\n
          \n \t
        • Optimal load temperature range: +20\u00ba to +35\u00ba C<\/li>\n \t
        • Maximum load temperature range: +1\u00ba to +45\u00ba C<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n \n\nDuring storage<\/strong>\n
            \n \t
          • Optimum storage temperature range: +10\u00ba to +20\u00baC.<\/li>\n \t
          • In case of prolonged storage keep the charge level between 50 and 60%. Check the charge level every 3 months and, if necessary, charge the battery to the previously recommended level.<\/li>\n \t
          • Take special care that the battery charge level does not drop below 30% for extended periods of time.<\/li>\n \t
          • Do not store your charged battery at 100% charge for extended periods of time.<\/li>\n \t
          • Do not leave your bicycle in the sun for a long period of time.<\/li>\n \t
          • Do not expose the battery to temperatures below +10\u00b0C for long periods of time.<\/li>\n \t
          • Never expose the battery to temperatures above +80\u00b0C.<\/li>\n \t
          • When starting the activity, be careful not to use the maximum assistance immediately: the battery must first reach its operating temperature.<\/li>\n \t
          • After a long period of storage, before using again, charge the battery to 100%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

            Disconnect the charger and all mains power for any cleaning operation.
