Before using your eBike for the first time, carefully read the guidelines for safe battery charging and handling.

The MAHLE X Series includes intelligent charging systems that provide charging management for both internal and external batteries. These charging systems provide the correct charging current and ideal balancing of the cells that make up the battery.

Only use the original charging system for MAHLE X Series systems. Both the charging system and the battery are fully qualified for use under the current regulations of the regions in which the use of these systems is approved.

The basic recommendations for battery charging are as follows:

• Connect the charging system directly to a power source and do not use extension cords.
• Do not perform reverse charging.
• Do not use the active charger with non-rechargeable batteries, there is a risk of overheating and fire.
• The active charger is not designed for charging car batteries.
• Before each use, check the charger for damage, as well as the charging cable and plug.
• Do not cover the charger during the charging process.
• Check the battery regularly and never charge a battery that may be damaged or defective.
• Make sure that the socket and plug are not wet or damp before connecting and charging the battery, which may occur when washing the bicycle.
• If the eBike or the battery pack is too cold, wait until it warms up before charging the system.
• Before using the eBike for the first time, make sure that the battery is fully charged.
