ROSE Bikes has expanded its urban e‑bike platform with the new Sneak Plus EQ Shift, a model that represents a clear evolution in both versatility and system integration. After relying on the MAHLE X35 System in previous generations, the Sneak Plus now transitions to the MAHLE X30 System, bringing a more refined riding experience and wider use cases while keeping the signature minimalistic look of the series.
A more capable approach for everyday mobility
The shift from the earlier singlespeed design introduces a broader gear range that allows urban riders to tackle varied city terrain with greater ease. From daily commutes with steep climbs to quicker accelerations in traffic and relaxed rides outside the city centre, the new setup pairs naturally with the lightweight assistance of the MAHLE X30 System, making the bike more adaptable without altering its sleek aesthetic.
The MAHLE X30 System: seamless integration and natural support
At the core of the new Sneak Plus EQ Shift is the MAHLE X30 rear hub motor. With 45 Nm of torque, it delivers natural support that blends intuitively with rider input, creating a smooth, predictable riding feel ideal for urban environments.
The minimalistic control concept is fully aligned with the bike’s design philosophy. Riders activate the system and choose support levels through the integrated top‑tube button, while the handlebar remote allows quick adjustments without compromising control. Compatibility with the MAHLE SmartBike App enables customisation of assistance levels and further personalisation of the riding experience.
Equipment designed for the city
ROSE adds practical features that support daily mobility in a clean, integrated way. The 80‑lux front light offers visibility in low‑light conditions, and the rear light includes a brake‑light function for added safety. A minimalist rear carrier supports up to 8 kg per side, making it suitable for commuting essentials without affecting the bike’s balanced look.
With the integrated 236 Wh battery, the Sneak Plus EQ Shift reaches up to 100 km of range. Riders needing extra support can add the 171 Wh eX1 External Battery, which increases total range by up to 60 km and mounts easily to the frame.
