Rose upgrades the Backroad AL Plus with the X30 System
Rose introduces an updated version of its Backroad AL Plus, now equipped with the MAHLE X30 System. This upgrade strengthens one of the brand’s most popular e‑gravel models, delivering a more natural, efficient and responsive assistance experience for both daily use and long‑distance rides.
A balanced level of support for mixed terrain
The main update lies in the integration of the MAHLE X30 motor, designed to provide smooth pedalling and immediate response through its advanced sensor technology. With 45 Nm of torque and a low system weight, it helps preserve the agility of the bike while offering a ride sensation very close to that of an analogue gravel bike.
The 236 Wh internal battery is fully integrated into the frame, maintaining the clean and minimal design of the Backroad AL Plus. Riders seeking additional range can add an External Battery to extend overall autonomy.
Versatility for daily mobility and long tours
The aluminium frame remains central to the bike’s character, offering comfort, stability and adaptability across different riding scenarios. With multiple mounting points for bags and accessories, it continues to be a strong choice for bikepacking, commuting or mixed‑surface riding. Rose is also introducing a fully equipped version for those who ride year-round, adding features aimed at urban and long‑distance use.
Refined integration and thoughtful design
The new Backroad AL Plus arrives in the Forest Shift and Pebble colour options, reinforcing its modern and understated aesthetic. The integration of the X30 System is discreet, giving the bike an appearance close to that of an analogue gravel bike, while providing electric assistance whenever required.
An evolution shaped by shared goals
The updated Backroad AL Plus reflects the shared vision between Rose and MAHLE: lightweight solutions, efficient support and seamless integration. The combination of Rose’s aluminium frame with the MAHLE X30 System results in an e‑gravel option suited to daily mobility as well as to riders looking to extend their adventures.
