1.12.1 Active Charger
The MAHLE M40 Active Charger is compatible with all batteries in the MAHLE M40 system.
It allows fast charging up to 4A, using the CAN-BUS communication port to identify the battery model and current charge level, supplying the appropriate charging current accordingly.
The charger includes a light signal to indicate the mode and status of the charging process.
Charging Process with the Active Charger
To ensure proper charging, follow this process for both internal and external batteries:
Connect the charger to the power outlet. The charger LED will show a steady WHITE light.
Connect the charger to the bike’s charging port. The LED will turn CYAN. Breathing effect: from high to low frequency as the charge level increases.
Charging complete Once charging is finished, the LED will show a steady GREEN light. Disconnect the charger from the power source before unplugging it from the eBike.
Charging error
If a critical error occurs during charging, the charger LED will flash RED.
The Head Unit+ screen can display the charging status.
Once charging is complete, the eBike will automatically shut down after 5 minutes or after the configured auto-off time if shorter.
If the battery temperature is too high, charging will be delayed until the temperature drops.
