This manual contains DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION indicators concerning the consequences of failure to use, assemble, maintain, store, inspect, and dispose of MAHLE eBikes (Electric Bikes) safely.

• The combination of the safety alert symbol and the word DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
• Retain all safety warnings and instructions for future use and do not open the engine or battery by yourself.
• Only qualified experts should open and repair the system with original spare parts and specific tools, as unauthorised opening of a system will invalidate the warranty.
• All parts of the eBike and the eBike may only be replaced with parts identical to or specifically approved by the manufacturer of your eBike in order to protect it from damage.
• Do not modify the motor, battery or any other parts, or add any other non-approved products to improve performance or handling, as there is a risk of accident in the event of accidental activation.
• Be careful when touching the surface of your engine, as the surface can become very hot and cause skin burns.
• The ride assistance function can only be used when the eBike is being driven and requires the use of specific controls.
• If the wheels are not in contact with the ground when using this function, there is a risk of injury.
• Only use original MAHLE batteries approved by the eBike manufacturer, as the use of unauthorised batteries may cause injury or fire.
• Please observe the regional and local regulations regarding eBikes and Pedelecs (Pedal Electric Cycle).
