MAHLE SMARTBIKE SYSTEMS, S.L.U. develops during the years 2023 and 2024 a new R&D Strategic Plan whose main objective is the design and development of advanced electric mobility solutions that contribute to the evolution of systems for electric bicycles.

On September 15, 2023, the President of the Instituto para la Competitividad Empresarial de Castilla y León (Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León) has issued a Resolution to grant subsidies for the 3 files that make up the company’s Strategic Plan for these years, called “Strategic Plan for the development of new solutions for Advanced Electric Mobility”, financed by the European Union Structural Funds, ERDF funds, 50% through the Instituto para la Competitividad Empresarial de Castilla y León (ICE), with the aim of promoting technological development, innovation and quality research.

The files included in this strategic plan are:

1. 10/18/PA/0009 whose main objective is the design and development of a new ultralight and ultra-efficient system.
2. 10/18/PA/0010 whose main objective is the design and development of a new concept of 43 V batteries.
3. 10/18/PA/0011 whose main objective is the development of new solutions associated with the 43 V e-Bike motor.
